The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, in partnership with CEI Cargo OPC, is organizing a hybrid seminar on How to Import Goods into the Philippines that will empower current and future importers into importing goods either in supporting a local business, sourcing a new business venture, or even equipping oneself how to handle goods economically viable.


This one-day seminar will aim to present strategic and pragmatic approach on the extrinsic importation process in the Philippines that will help address companies importation concerns that can save costs, time, effort and even avert committing mistakes. This seminar will not only provide a comprehensive step-by-step guide but also share practical experiences and best practices in the importation business. The session will cover from the basic steps such as applying for an import license to technical aspects to secure the delivery and arrival of the goods in the country.


With an impressive 28 years of experience in the importing and exhibition cargo scene, CEI Cargo OPC Owner and CEO Ms. Dee Ledonio will be mainly facilitating the session to address technical and practical questions related to the subject matter. Dee was able to run this seminar for already five times since 2018 and has trained 350 existing and would-be exporters. Moreover, Dee wrote a book on, "The Basic Guidelines on Importing into the Philippines: A Handbook for Commercial Importers", where she shared her knowledge and expertise in the field.


Moreover, experts from the Bureau of Customs and CEI Cargo OPC will also join Ms. Ledonio as guest panel speakers. Representing the Bureau of Customs are Assistant Chief - Formal Entry Division (MICP) Atty. Dorevie Suaybaguio and Chief Customs Warehouse Bonded Division (NAIA) Mr. Arnaldo dela Torre, Jr. will attend the seminar to share their technical expertise and address concerns on importation. CEI Cargo OPC Brokerage Manager Baltazar Pulta is also speaking at the event that completes the line up of guest panel speakers.
