Event Details

Over the years, the topic of sustainability has gained traction with more and more businesses incorporating sustainable practices into their day-to-day operations due to the shift in consumer behavior towards sustainable products and services. The repercussions of the pandemic greatly contributed to increase public awareness and focus on changing the narrative and processes to a 'regenerative and restorative' one providing an opportunity for countries to move towards sustainability as a major tool to accelerate economic recovery.

For the second installment of the East ASEAN Business Conference on 22 November 2021, 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM GMT+8, the ECCP intends to bring together prominent business leaders across the region to understand the role/importance of sustainability in business and trade. The webinar will feature discussion on the European Green Deal and Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).

The virtual event will highlight the European blueprint which aims to make all sectors of the European Union fit to meet the current challenges brought by the pandemic, and encourage transformational change among its partners towards climate neutrality to further stimulate new opportunities for innovation, jobs, and investment.
