The recent State of the Nation Address of President Rodrigo Duterte cited landmark accomplishments of cutting bureaucracy through the Ease of Doing Business Act of 2018. Furthermore, he urged government agencies to shift their services into a "new normal" where the implementation of online systems will be applied and will make physical queuing and paper transactions things of the past.
