The Energy Smart Forum on Discovering Renewable Energy Solutions for a Greener Future on 13 October will be exploring how renewable energy use and development contributes to the energy sector and economy at large, as well as how

It can support faster business recovery.


It will focus on how renewable energy helps diversifying energy supply and reduces dependence on fossil fuel; how generating energy from renewable sources is a green solution given that it does not produce greenhouse gas emissions and creates less pollution; how at the industrial and household levels, renewable energy solutions provide a way to cut on energy costs while saving the planet; and how it is creating demand for new skills that to support the growing market for green jobs.


With the theme "Creating the Energy Advantage For a Faster Business Recovery", the ECCP 2020 Energy Smart Forum Series aims to provide an avenue for discussions leading to a deeper understanding of how energy stakeholders can adopt and implement energy smart strategies that will translate to a competitive energy advantage for all industries.

    Randolph (Randy) Tan Del Valle is the Vice-President and General Manager for Retail Business in Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation (PSPC). He is also the Executive Director of PSPC Board. He is responsible of the Downstream Marketing Retail Business that covers >1,000 sites serving ~1 million customers/day enabled by a strong team of 15,000 employees, retailers and service champions. Randy brings with him more than 20 years of experience across various businesses in the energy sector.
    In his recent role Global Head of Strategy & Planning for DS Retail Network
    based in Singapore, he helped shape and deliver a number of important
    Retail Growth Projects in Russia, Indonesia, Mexico, India China and the US,
    evolved Network Strategy & Planning processes and methodology towards a holistic value maximization approach with various Integrated Retail Offers (Fuels, NFR, New Fuels including EV Chargers) and prepared the business to test new ideas in line with Energy Transition through Digitalization and Innovation.
    Prior to this, he was in Group Strategy Consultancy based in London, United Kingdom and Hague, Netherlands where he led various high-impact projects in Upstream, Integrated Gas, Shell Business Operations and Downstream. He was also part of the selected core team member that played a pivotal role to effectively plan and execute Shell’s largest strategic acquisition of BG Group in 2015/2016.
    He has also held various local, regional and global roles Retail Marketing (Global On-Site Ops Excellence- PMTDR, Cards, Payment, Loyalty, Pricing, Fuels Marketing) as well as in Sales & Operations (as Territory Manager, District Manager and Operations Manager) based in the UK and the Philippines.
    Randy is passionate about People Development, Innovation/Energy Transition Development, Team Success and puts customers first. Randy is a Chemical Engineer where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of San Carlos (USC), Cebu. He also has an MBA degree from London Business School, UK.
