In the region of Mindanao, the Energy, Logistics, and Agriculture sectors grapple with real challenges—such as certification struggles in agriculture, erratic brownouts in energy, and customs concerns affecting trade flow. Despite these challenges, Mindanao, boasting its rich resources and strategic location, presents diverse opportunities for these sectors. For the power sector, smart and sustainable energy utilization, while the Free Trade Agreement and EU GSP+ are steps forward for the logistics and transportation sector. Given Mindanao's contribution of over 33% of the country's farming and fishery production, the region is poised for further growth. In light of these challenges and opportunities, revisiting these conversations and reinforcing steps is crucial for the continuous development of the economic landscape of Mindanao.


The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines is hosting the Mindanao Business Dialogue on 19 April 2024 from 1:00 - 4:00 PM via Zoom. Bringing together industry leaders, experts, and stakeholders to discuss the real issues faced by the Energy, Logistics, and Agriculture sectors in Mindanao.


This dialogue aims to:

  • Discuss the challenges and opportunities of the Mindanao region specifically concerning the Energy, Logistics, and Agriculture sectors;
  • Discuss the possibilities of developing Mindanao as a hub for innovation and investments for the said sectors; and
  • Collaborating with industry or government stakeholders to create sustainable steps for the Energy, Logistics, and Agricultural Sectors.
