The Department of Energy (DOE), in partnership with the European Union-supported Access to Sustainable Energy Programme (ASEP), the ASEP – Clean Energy Living Laboratories, and the Asian Development Bank, will host the Mindanao Energy Efficiency and Conservation Forum for Local Development on July 23-24, 2020, taking place virtually!

This is part of our commitment to fast-track the country's clean energy transition despite the challenges brought by the pandemic.

The two-day virtual forum will present the key features of the new Energy Efficiency and Conservation (EE&C) Law and its Implementing Rules and Regulations, discuss the process for developing Local Energy Plans, and address key challenges and opportunities with the new national policy.

Industry leaders from the public, private, and academic sectors will share their insights and experience, and provide opportunities to accelerate the mainstreaming of the EE&C Law into the local level.

The forum will host four key sessions to match the specialized needs of local governments and energy stakeholders:

1. Energy Efficiency National Policy and Mindanao Energy Plan

2. Energy Efficiency Solutions for Government

3. Financing Options for Energy Efficiency Projects

4. Local Energy Efficiency Planning
