About the Initiative :
In November 2021, the "Net Zero Carbon Events" pledge was presented at the COP26 UN Climate Change Conference - "A united pledge and roadmap for a net zero carbon future for events where Leaders from around the industry shared their commitment and alignment to fight climate change. " To date, more than 400 entities from around the world are supporting this initiative, and Fairs and More Inc., subsidiary of the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP),is proud to be the first signatory and supporter of The Net Zero Carbon Events Pledge in the Philippines.

Last November 23, 2022 the ECCP in partnership with FMI - Fairs & More, Inc. and the Joint Meetings Industry Council launched the Net Zero Carbon Events Philippines โ a first collaborative hybrid event to drive the Philippine events industry towards net zero and strengthen the sector's commitment to tackling climate change through the Net Zero Carbon Events Pledge. The event featured high-level panel discussions among leaders in the government, logistics, food waste and retail sporting goods sector, as well as insightful presentations from the following speakers:
As a show of commitment towards a net zero future by 2050, the event ended with an interactive pledge signed by speakers, attendees and partners. The Net Zero Carbon Events Philippines 2022 is co-presented by the Ascott Limited, Somerset Central Salcedo, Eastern Communications, Nestle Philippines and Brains Infinite Innovations Inc, with the support of Advocacy Partners Pure Oceans, Green Space, the Independent Power Producers Forum, and Quisumbing Torres and the participation of Solutions and Technology Partners Stratcon Philippines, Bambuhay, EcoNest, SACHI-Group, Inc., Envirotech and The Bamboo Company.
