Companies are currently faced with the consequences of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak as it continues to disrupt global supply chains, drag financial markets into all-time lows, and drain the state of the world's economy and population. Among these challenges is the compliance with legal and tax obligations of companies with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).

To address these concerns, the BIR released a number of Revenue Memorandum Circulars, extending tax deadlines for Value-Added Tax Refund and Income Tax Return applications, among others.
