Our environment has been heavily impacted by coal burning. As such, this called for the collective efforts of different countries to take a giant step towards averting the catastrophic consequences of climate change on a global level. Governments all over the world have stepped up to set climate targets in an effort to reduce global warming to the levels specified in the Paris Agreement. In this webinar, the spotlight will be on Asia's response to climate change, with a particular focus on China's move toward net-zero emissions by 2060 and what its climate policies could mean for the rest of the world. Furthermore, the discussion will seek to explain the rationale behind Beijing's ambition and the profound transformation China needs to undergo โ in all parts of its economy and society โ to realise its decarbonisation goal.
