Join us for the first part of our Webinar Series on Responsible Investing with AXA Philippines, one of the country's leading insurance providers, and a joint venture partnership between the Paris-based AXA Group and GT Capital/Metrobank Group. In this 90-minute webinar entitled, Understanding ESG and Responsible Investing, our speakers will discuss the importance of the financial sector in driving sustainable outcomes, as well as explain what it means to invest responsibly as an institution and as a retail investor. Listen in as the webinar takes a deep dive into the attitudes, beliefs, and sentiments of the Philippine market on responsible investing, and what this could mean for institutional investors and the private sector.

Speakers

Rahul Hora
President and CEO of AXA Philippines
Rahul Hora is the President and CEO of AXA Philippines. He has over 20 years of work experience, which includes stints in the FMCG industry and the insurance industry.

Upon joining AXA Philippines, he worked as Chief Agency Officer beginning in 2009 and then a member of the Board of Directors in 2012. Then in 2015, he was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer wherein he led the organization towards being more customer-centric with key focus on digital transformation.

Prior to working at AXA Philippines, he served as the Regional Head of Distribution, AXA Asia Life based in Hong Kong; and the Senior Vice President and Head of Sales Development of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Co. Ltd.

He earned his undergraduate degree from St. Stephens College in Delhi University, after which he attended the Centre of Management Development and received his Masters Degree in Marketing.

Nicolas Deschamps
Head of Client Group at Architas
Nicolas Deschamps joined Architas in January 2015 to lead the Client Group wherein he is in charge of developing and promoting investment solutions to AXA entities and institutional clients globally. Nicolas is also in charge of marketing functions and innovations globally, as well as driving international development agenda in Asia.

Nicolas joined AXA Group in 2001 as a project manager in the corporate finance team. He joined AXA Investment Managers in 2005, and was subsequently appointed as sales manager in the French Financial Institutions group within AXA Investment Managers in 2007. He was promoted to Head of French Retail Distribution in 2009. Nicolas joined AXA France as Head of Life Products Sales & Marketing in 2010 before joining Architas.

Nicolas is a graduate of Essec Business School in Paris and has an MBA in Finance.

Thomas Cahn
Financial Controller at Architas Asia Limited
Thomas Cahn is the Financial Controller for Architas Asia Limited. He heads its finance department, manages the company’s governance framework and supports its strategic growth initiatives, of which ESG and Responsible Investing is a major component.

Thomas began his career under AXA UK’s graduate programme and trained to become a Chartered Accountant. He then joined the Finance department of
Architas UK. He moved to Hong Kong to support the set up and growth of Architas Asia Limited prior to becoming its Financial Controller.
