In recent years, the Philippines' agricultural sector has made numerous efforts to maximize the growth potentials of bamboo. If properly utilized, these high-value crops are an appealing green product alternative in local commercial and industrial spheres given its durable quality, product versatility, and crop growth sustainability. In its harvested form, bamboo can be used as a good construction material or commercial product that can catch the attention of the Philippine market. Now that the government is again making strides in strengthening the promotion of the local bamboo industry in 2020, the opportunity to be a part of a nationally prioritized agricultural industry is not something businesses want to miss.

With this, the ECCP Cagayan de Oro/Northern Mindanao branch invites you to a webinar entitled "Untapped Green Sector: Opportunities in the Bamboo Industry on December 14, 2020 from 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM with guest speaker Architect Jed Michael de Guzman, a registered and licensed architect of the United Architect of the Philippines. This session will discuss on the Bamboo Basics, Status of the Bamboo in the Philippines, Bamboo Characteristics, Fundamentals Behind Bamboo Treatment, and Bamboo in the Built Environment. This webinar also aims to introduce and inform entrepreneurs on the different commercial uses of bamboo plants and to bridge Northern Mindanao local entrepreneurs to bamboo entrepreneurs and experts within the country and outside to promote productive exchanges of information and opportunities.
